Nicaragua has issued a set of 6 different stamps and the same set of stamps in a souvenir sheet. The set has been issued on 17 April 1958.
The set of stamps can be split into 3 different designs issued with with each time different colors and values, all of them have been used for airflight postage.
- 1st design: showing the Brussels Exhibition Emblem; 25c blue green, yellow and black and mentioning Exposision Mundial de Belgica 1958 and the other one 1-cor pale brown, light blue and black mentioning Exposicion Mundial de Bruselas 1958
- 2nd design: the Coat of Arms of Nicaragua in blue, yellow green and red; 30c blue background and 2-cor carmine background
- 3rd design: Nicaragua Pavilion at the Exhibition; 45c bistre blue and black, 10-cor pale blue , lilac and brown
The stamp was designed by Mr. Jesus Gargallo and printed by Heraclio Fournier S.A. in Spain (see also detail on the sheets parts below)
It is reported that 30.000 sets have been issued printed per 50 stamps per sheet (5 rows x 10 stamps)
Next pictures shows sheets of 15 stamp each. Full sheets are rare
