Brussels Expo 1958

Philatelic Website

7 September 1958

The Walloon Region was in 1958 integral part of Belgium. The Walloon Region is mostly known as the place were the official language used in French, as spoken in France. Walloon is a dialect which actually is not widely used/supported anymore. The Walloon Region is also covering the small German part of Belgian (region around Sankt Vith, Malmedy and Eupen). The Walloon rRegion was represented as well as the Flanders was represented at Expo 59, hence the cancellations.

In comparison with the Flanders, the Walloon Region has issued more covers.
